Surface Miner 2500 SM

Surface miner with mechanically driven cutting drum for the selective mining of minerals with unconfined compressive strengths of up to 80 MPa. The surface miner is equipped with individually height-adjustable crawler tracks and a two-stage conveyor system.

Mining in a night operation: The powerful 2500 SM is equipped with bright working lamps, enabling it to cut rock around the clock.

The 2500 SM shown here, which is mining medium-hard rock in a Kazakhstan mine, is discharging the material to the side.

The surface miner's counterweight can be folded up hydraulically when cutting along steep embankment walls.

Due to the extreme loads and vibrations generated by mining hard granite, the 2500 SM shown here is operated via remote control, its cabin folded down.
