Surface Miner 2200 SM
Surface miner with mechanically driven cutting drum for mining coal and useful minerals with unconfined compressive strengths of up to 50 MPa. The miner can optionally be equipped for loading the mined material via a front-loading conveyor system with slewing and height-adjustable discharge conveyor or for working in windrowing mode.
The 2200 SM achieves maximum production rates when depositing the cut rock in a windrow between the crawler tracks.
Lowering a tunnel floor with maximum efficiency: The miners are loading the rock directly on freight wagons.
A typical method of mining material with surface miners is mining in layers, which is also called "harvesting mode".
The slewing discharge conveyor enables trucks to be changed "on the fly", ensuring a continuous mining operation.
