Mobile cold recycling mixing plant for the production of mixes for road construction by adding various binding agents, such as bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen. The plant is mounted on a semi-trailer and is driven by an own diesel engine. This mobile design permits easy transport and fast setup on the job location.
A ramp is set up next to the mixing plant prior to commencing the recycling operation, enabling wheel loaders to feed the KMA 220 divided proportioning hopper. It is supported by stable flaps below the hopper.
The Vögele paver shown here is placing cold mix which has been cold recycled by a KMA 220 just prior to the paving operation. It consists of milled granulate, 2% foamed bitumen, 1% cement and 1.5% to 2% water.
For the production of cold mixes with foamed bitumen, hot bitumen is foamed in a special injection bar by adding water and air, and is then directly injected into the plant's mixer. This image shows the test nozzle which enables the quality of the foamed bitumen to be checked whenever necessary.
Continuous feeding of trucks is no problem at all with the slewing discharge conveyor.
