Soil stabilizer WR 2400

Compact cold recycler for recycling entire carriageway structures while adding various binding agents, such as bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen. Its high engine power and working width of 2.40 m, which is standard worldwide, make the machine eminently suitable also for soil stabilization.

Mechanical milling drum drive

The engine power is transmitted to the milling and mixing rotor via a direct mechanical belt drive that ensures high efficiency. Continuous power transmission is ensured by an automatic belt tensioner.

Milling and mixing rotor

The soil stabilizer's milling and mixing rotor is capable of rotating in or against the direction of travel. The toolholders are arranged on high bases, providing sufficient volume for thorough mixing of the construction material mix.

Variable mixing chamber

The mixing chamber in Wirtgen's powerful soil stabilizers grows with the working depth: The rotor housing is rigidly attached to the chassis, while the rotor can be adjusted in height.

Crusher bar

When cold recycling, the crusher bar at the front of the rotor housing assists thorough granulation of the material to be recycled and prevents slabs from breaking out of the asphalt pavement. It is swivelled towards the front hydraulically when soil stabilizing.

Scraper blade

The hydraulically pressurized scraper blade distributes the recycled mix evenly across the full working width. Its position can be adjusted from the operator's platform.
