Slipform paver SP 25 / SP 25i

The compact SP 25 / SP 25i slipform paver is an extremely versatile multipurpose machine for highquality concrete paving operations. In addition to paving a most diverse range of offset profi les, the SP 25 / SP 25i achieves perfection also in paving narrow roads, agricultural and bicycle paths, canals and gutters of different sizes in inset application.

Levelling with the slipform paver SP 25

The classical Wirtgen automatic levelling system

The purpose of levelling systems is to control the paving height of a concrete profile as determined by a reference surface automatically and as precisely as possible. This goal is fully and superbly met by the modular systems of the original automatic levelling system from Wirtgen. The system offers maximum flexibility, allowing different sensors to be used which are selected in accordance with conditions prevailing on the job site.

Field-proven sensors for any application

All sensors that are part of the Wirtgen automatic levelling systems are compatible with pre-installed sockets, so that any sensor type can be connected to any control unit. Adapters or special plugs are not required.

  • Transducing sensor

The transducing sensor scans a previously tensioned stringline.

  • Slope sensor

The slope sensor is permanently mounted at the chassis and works like an electronic pendulum. It is mostly used in combination with a transducing sensor or 3D wireless control.

  • Slab tracer

The slab tracer glides on a reference surface, such as the adjacent traffic lane.

  • Wireless levelling control

A total station locates a prism on the slipform paver to determine the current position of the paving mould, and with it the concrete profile. These data are reconciled with a previously created digital terrain model of the profile or surface to be produced. Deviations are immediately corrected by the automatic levelling system.
