Compact cold recycler for recycling entire carriageway structures while adding various binding agents, such as bitumen emulsion or foamed bitumen. The machine is also ideally suited for soil stabilization. Its low weight and compact width ensure easy transport.
The engine power is transmitted to the milling and mixing rotor via a direct mechanical belt drive that ensures high efficiency. Continuous power transmission is ensured by an automatic belt tensioner.
The cold recycler's milling and mixing rotor is capable of rotating in or against the direction of travel. The toolholders are arranged on high bases, providing sufficient volume for thorough mixing of the construction material mix.
The mixing chamber in Wirtgen's wheel-mounted cold recyclers grows with the working depth. The rotor housing is rigidly attached to the chassis, while the rotor itself is lowered from the mixing chamber, penetrating the soil.
When cold recycling, the crusher bar at the front of the rotor housing assists thorough granulation of the material to be recycled and prevents slabs from breaking out of the asphalt pavement. It is swivelled towards the front hydraulically when soil stabilizing.
The hydraulically pressurized scraper blade distributes the recycled mix evenly across the full working width. Its position can be adjusted from the operator's platform.
